These are the three common mistakes sellers often make when listing.

What are the three most common mistakes made when listing a home? If you’re selling your home, you need to avoid these pitfalls:

1. Overpricing. Incorrect pricing can deter potential buyers already in the market and new ones entering it, costing you time and money as your home sits on the market longer.

2. Not having professional-quality photos. You don’t want to work with agents who don't take the time or make the effort to hire a skilled professional photographer. If you work with our team, we make sure to conduct a walk-through before the photography session to ensure the home looks its best when it hits the market online for buyers to see.

3. Not preparing the home’s condition. To get top dollar, you need to have your house in top shape. This includes working on the cosmetic things around the house and possibly getting an inspection before listing it. Have your Realtor come out to look at any blemishes, such as damaged baseboards, which can be touched up or cleaned, or even painting.
